“Nobody gets left on the edge of the mat in my class.”
About
More than a membership. Somewhere you belong.
“Fantastic Club! Brilliant coaching and a family atmosphere that can't be beaten.”

Why this academy exists
I did not start training because I was confident. I started because I was not, and because I had run out of other ideas about how to fix that.
What I found was that confidence is not something anybody hands you. It is what is left over after you have been put in a hard situation, got it wrong, and come back the following week anyway.
That is the whole method, and there is nothing else to it.
So this is not a place that hands out praise. It is a place that gives people something difficult to do and then stays beside them while they do it.
When a child taps, gets up and goes again, something changes in how they carry themselves. Their parents see it at home before we see it on the mat.
If that is what your family is looking for, come and meet us. One session will tell you more than this page can.

Who we are for
Clean mats. Qualified coaches. A structured programme from day one.
Your child starts. Then you join. It becomes part of your week.
Not a hobby you try for a month. A skill that builds over years.
Who we are not for
We are not the cheapest and never will be.
Nobody here trains to hurt anyone.
This is not swimming lessons. It is a life skill.
Three rules that shape everything we do.
The better you get, the more you give back. Whether it is on the mats or behind the desk, success here comes with responsibility. Not status.
We never stop being students. We listen, we adjust, and we do not pretend to have all the answers. That goes for everyone at this academy.
We would rather do it right than do it fast. Every session, every message, every decision gets the same attention to detail. If it has our name on it, it meets the standard.

In every kids session
Treating people how you would like to be treated.
Keep showing up. Even when you do not want to.
Doing the thing even though you are scared to do it.
Know your strengths and weaknesses. Be willing to learn.
Give more than you should. Even when you do not have to.
Doing the right thing, even when nobody is watching.
Make the people around you better, not just yourself.
Figuring out what to do in the meantime.

Teens and competition
“Train hard enough that the competition feels like Tuesday.”
Absolutely Incredible. A very welcoming environment, it has a calm, disciplined yet friendly feel to it too. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, approachable and I find them to be humble too.

Really friendly atmosphere.
Professor Tom and all the coaches are great and make you feel very welcome.
This feels more like a family than a club.
Honestly, the best way is to come in for a free session and see how it feels.
We are not the right fit for everyone, and we would rather you found out in a trial session than signed up and regretted it.
Most schools will not answer this question directly, so we will. The difference is purpose.
Every session is built around one goal: producing confident people who do not bully others and do not get pushed around either.
Organisation. As we have grown and added new programmes, keeping communication clear and bookings simple has not always kept pace. We know it, and we are working on it.
We genuinely want to hear from members when something is not working.
Show up regularly, respect the people around you, and be willing to learn. That is really it.
Progress at this academy comes from trying things, getting them wrong, and coming back the next session ready to go again.
Walking in the first time is the hard part. Tell us you are coming and we will handle the rest.
